To help meet the needs and expectations of travelers, we’ve embarked on an Enhanced Hygiene Initiative based on the guidelines and recommendations from world-leading health organizations, such as the CDC and WHO.
Homelike is actively migrating apartment owners to up their game when it comes to hygiene and cleaning practices. The initiative is an extension to Homelike’s Apartment Standards that are already in place. This means when you book with Homelike you can ensure that your health and safety are the highest priority, so you can get on with enjoying your home away from home.
Each apartment offering enhanced hygiene practices will now contain a reference in the respective highlight section of the listing.
The guidelines will be available to all property suppliers and we encourage them to commit and adopt these enhanced cleaning practices as quickly as possible.
The apartments that align with this initiative will take higher priority in how and when they appear in apartment search results, so you can have confidence in what you’re looking for.
An example of one of the key initiatives to protect you, property suppliers can commit to keeping their apartment empty for a minimum of 24-hours between bookings with no activity other than cleaning and sanitizing. Bookings will be automatically blocked during that time frame.
Hygiene items at your disposal, self-check-in, and options for regular hygienic cleaning during your tenancy are also considered to reassure tenant’s safety and wellbeing.
In addition to the normal pre-arrival cleaning procedure, all surfaces, high touch-points, and air conditioners are sanitized with approved disinfectants. During the entire procedure, the staff is wearing masks and gloves.
Guests are informed about the behavioral regulations that apply in and around the apartment building, e.g. social distancing, wearing a mask, etc. Emergency measures are in place for the case that a guest shows signs of COVID-19. Relevant contacts to medical assistance are available upon request.
Guests can access the apartment using a key lockbox, smart-lock, or keypad, all of which do not require previous human contact.
A daily, weekly, or monthly cleaning is offered, which includes the sanitization of all surfaces as well as air conditioning and high touch points with an approved disinfectant. During the cleaning procedure, the staff is wearing masks and gloves.
The apartment is kept empty between two bookings for at least 24 hours and is only entered for cleaning purposes during that period.
Upon move-in - or on request - the guest is provided with basic hygiene items, such as a mask and hand sanitizers.
